What is Anything API

Some of the internet offers a nice API that developers AI agents build on top of. That one service you needed to automate or scrape today? No API. Anything API is the API for the rest of the internet. Use prebuilt endpoints for sites that were never API-native, and build your custom ones when our nice catalog comes up short.

Who is this for

Anyone who badly needs an API that doesn’t exist, and don’t want to burn an afternoon and $100 in tokens building one, plus the painful maintenance to keep prod alive.

How does it works

Anything API turns a website into a strongly typed endpoint you call over plain HTTPS. Build once, in the app or over MCP, then call it from your code. Endpoints do more than read: they scrape (search, list, fetch structured data) and they act (login, submit forms, run multi-step flows), so anything you could do in a browser can become an API.

Relationship to Notte

We host and run everything on Notte. The APIs are deployed as a Notte Function, and anything browser-related runs in a Notte Browser sessions with global residential proxies and captcha solving capabilities when we need those to automate the site.

Calling an API

Every API endpoint you build gets one function_id you invoke with a Notte API key:
Your data is in result matching the schema on the API’s page. Python and TypeScript SDKs do the same thing in one call. Do not hand-copy the snippet above: every API page renders it with your real id, parameters, and defaults already filled in. See Calling an API.

Building an API

Go to the app and prompt what you need. The agent captures your intent, settles the spec signature (what goes in, what comes out), explores the site, reverse engineers how it actually serves its data, and deploys an endpoint tailored to your use case. It is a conversation, so you shape the API as it goes: rename a parameter, add a field, change a type. Expect 2 to 10 minutes. You can also build via the API or MCP. See Building an API.

Self-healing APIs

Every API hosted on Anything API self-heals. A failed invocation wakes an agent to bugfix the API, re-maps the site and ships a new version in minutes, so your next call works. We’re working on proactive self-healing as well (fixes before you call the API). TBD.

Authenticated sites

Anything API also works with Authenticated websites using Notte Profiles. Simply put, profiles let you authenticate once in a website manually on Notte, and save your cookies. That way, any further run will be pre-authenticated. APIs to authenticated website will have a Notte Profile ID as one of the input variables.
